Provide free electricity to all farmers for irrigation within the next 5 years.
In ProgressUpdate 2
Energy Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma informed the State Assembly that over 10.59 lakh farmers have successfully registered under the free electricity scheme. He assured the House that the 5.06 lakh private tubewell owners yet to register are not being pressured for bill recovery and continue to receive free irrigation power — though registration remains a mandatory administrative requirement for processing the state subsidy.
↗ Times of India | Feb 19, 2026Update 1Finance Minister Suresh Khanna presented the 2026–27 state budget, confirming that the flagship scheme providing 140 free units per kW per month to farmers for tube well irrigation has been actively running since April 1, 2023. The budget allocated ₹18,290 crore for irrigation and flood control schemes — a 30% increase from the previous year. Cabinet had formally approved 100% electricity bill waiver for 14.78 lakh private tube wells in March 2024, retroactively covering all bills from April 1, 2023.

In ProgressUpdate 3
As of April 2026, the scheme has still not been formally launched. Hindustan Times reported that the free bus ride scheme for senior women "may roll out soon" — indicating it remains in the planning stage nearly 4 years after the election promise. No government order (GO) has been publicly issued to operationalise the scheme.
↗ Hindustan Times | Apr 2026Update 2Finance Minister Suresh Khanna included a token allocation of ₹1 lakh in the 2026–27 Budget for the free bus travel scheme for women above 60 — signalling formal intent, but not operational rollout. Estimated annual cost of the scheme once live: ₹250–300 crore.
↗ India Herald / UP Budget 2026–27 | Feb 12, 2026Update 1UPSRTC confirmed it is "working on the project" — planning to issue identity cards to eligible women passengers to maintain records. The GM (IT) of UPSRTC stated: "The scheme will come into effect once the govt order (GO) on it is issued." A March 2022–March 2023 UPSRTC survey found that ~88,000 women above 60 travel daily on its buses — about 7% of total daily passengers — meaning roughly 85,000 women would benefit daily once launched.

Make Uttar Pradesh tuberculosis-free by 2025 — ahead of national target.
PendingUpdate 1
The 2025 deadline has been missed. Uttar Pradesh reported over 6 lakh TB cases between January and October 2025 alone — the highest of any state in India — far from elimination. India's national target was also officially missed, with the Health Ministry actively engaging MPs for intervention to accelerate case detection. TB elimination requires fewer than 1 case per 10 lakh population; UP is nowhere near that threshold. Progress in detection and treatment has improved, but the promise of making UP TB-free by 2025 is unambiguously unfulfilled.
